Magical Coffee

The sign on the door said that the shop sold magical cups of coffee. Kyla walked into the coffee shop with skepticism and went to the counter.

“Hi, I was wondering what makes your coffee magical,” Kyla said.

The man behind the counter looked how you might expect someone serving a magical cup of coffee to look. He smiled and said softly, “It has magical properties that lead to clarity, balance and peace.”

She looked around the store and saw a person drinking coffee while brushing a zen garden and another person organizing crystals.

“So it’s decaf coffee?” Kyla asked.

“You can get the decaf option,” the server said, “but that’s not what makes it magical.”

“Drugs?”

“No, it’s regular coffee. It uses special beans procured from a high mountain and available only in this store.”

“Great, thanks,” Kyla said, and she turned to leave.

“You don’t want to try it?” the server asked.

“I don’t trust a magical cup of coffee.”
