The Missing Wednesday

After much research, questioning, and interrogation, we are now able to confirm that sometime in the last couple of years, a Wednesday did not occur.

A week only contained six days and a year only 364. The entire world was outwitted by the missing day. The day in particular saw no babies born, no deaths and no news articles. The sports calendar adjusted itself, planes stayed out of the sky, and no one rented an e-bike.

Although you may not remember this day, you may recall being surprised to find out that the day of the week was Thursday. Everything felt off. Google searches for “Wasn’t yesterday Tuesday?” skyrocketed on the Thursday after the missing Wednesday. Millions of people reported poor sleep and feeling off after the skipped day. A local wing place had its worst sales week of all time because Wings Wednesday did not take place.

This information is so shocking and took so much investigative reporting that we are uncomfortable identifying a culprit. We suspect that the Wednesday might have been stolen, but it also might have been traded for future dates. Our operatives are deeply undercover in an attempt to find out the answer.

According to the skipped days database, this is believed to be the 7th skipped day since the Roswell incident of 1947. All missing days were either Tuesdays, Wednesdays, or Thursdays, and four of them occurred during weeks interrupted by holidays.
