The Bad Guys Guide to Henchmen Gathering

“Why are you reading the Bad Guys Handbook?” Greg asked Christie when he came upon her at the park. “That’s their manifesto.”

Christie rolled her eyes at Greg. “Greg, let me tell you, there’s nothing brilliant enough to be called a manifesto in here. It’s literally just the bad guys listing out their plans.”

“But shouldn’t we be afraid of that?” Greg said. “Seeing the plans.”

“I think we should be reading the plans. There’s a whole section here on how to recruit henchmen. What better way to protect yourself and your friends from becoming a henchman than to know their plan.”

“Well, what does it say?” Greg asked.

“Has anyone ever come up to you at your place of work and said that you’re doing a great job and that you’re completely underappreciated?”

“Yes, recently.”

“Did they say that they see something special in you and want to help you?” Christie asked.

“Yeah, this guy named The Snakeman has told me that.”

Christie quickly flipped the book back to the henchmen section. “Did the person invite you to join a group of people with the same work ethic as you?”

“Yes,” Greg said, “I go to this group every Tuesday night.”

“When you go, do they talk about how you’re all going to make money from the people who discounted you and underappreciated you?”

“Yeah,” Greg said, suddenly nervous.

“When you objected to possible illegal activity, they said…”

“None of this is illegal. It’s about us rebalancing the scales,” Greg finished.

“Greg, you’re a bad guy henchman! What are you guys involved in?”

“It’s all very confusing. The Snakeman does not tell us very much. I think we’re trying to destroy a Panera Bread franchise.”
