The Life of the Party Can’t Throw

The Westons loved throwing big outdoor parties for their friends to attend. The Westons also loved to have one surprise at their parties among a sea of everyday moments.

There was the time the Westons featured flavored ice sculptures that melted into the evening’s punch. Once, they paid a jazz pianist to only play Taylor Swift songs. They even hired a penguin-costumed mascot to sit still for the entire evening on an outdoor patio. The mascot only moved once, about an hour and a half into the party, when it stood up and left.

No one could figure out the twisted surprise for the Weston’s latest outdoor, late-spring soiree.

A group gathered around Mrs. Weston.

“Alright, alright, I’ll tell you,” she said to the group. “We have a juggler at the party. He’s a famous juggler in some juggling circles. We asked him to attend the party, but not juggle.”

“So he’s just a guest at the party?” Mrs. Weston’s neighbor, Tom, asked.

“It’s true,” Mrs. Weston said. “He won’t let us pay him if we don’t let him juggle.”

Tom immediately wandered off to find some oranges. He was determined to get this juggler to juggle.
